Okay, time to stop wracking your brains....here's the answer to Tuesday's trivia question. (And if you're wracking your brains trying to remember the question, I'll restate it below. It's all good, eh?)
The question, inspired by the TV article revelation that two cast members will exit the game without being voted off, is this - Which SURVIVOR cast mates were never voted off the island? And the answer is....
Well, let's start with the obvious. The winners of each season were never voted off. So that's Richard, Tina, Ethan, Vescepia, Brian, Jenna, Sandra, Tom, Chris, Yul, Aras, Danni, Earl and Todd for a total of 14 (yes, Amber won All-Stars,but was voted off in her season, which means she doesn't fit the "never" criteria).
Then there's the runners-up - but some of them don't qualify under the same Amber Law explained above. So this leaves Kelly, Kim, Neleh, Clay, Matt, Katie, Twila, Becky, Dreamz, Danielle, Sondra, Courtney and Amanda (who may or may be voted off this season). That's 13. Lil was final two in Sandra's season, but had been previously voted out and returned as a "misfit." Colby (Season 2) was voted off as an AllStar (huh, Lex?) and Stephanie (Danni's season) was also a player the season before (remember, they brought Steph and Bobby Jon back), so they don't count either. We're up to 27.
And then there were the quitters, Probst's personal favorites (hee). Those who snuffed their own torch include Osten, Janu, and Jenna (who has the distinction of NOT being voted out twice). Sue Hawk quit the All-Star game, but had been voted out the first season. So there's two new people here, and we're up to 29.
Then there were the two who never joined a tribe. Remember Jonathan and Wanda in Palau? If you don't, don't worry. It's not dementia...it's just that these two weren't picked in a schoolyard type team choice exercise, and were sent home without ever getting started. (And if you do remember, it's probably because of Wanda's singing....) That's 31, for those who are keeping score.
Three - Michael in Australia, Bruce in Panama and Papa Smurf Gary in Fiji - left for illness or injury. 34.
And finally, there was the sad saga of Pascal English, who fell victim to the Purple Rock of Doom. (A fate so dreaded, ties have been avoided at all costs ever since.)
So I'm counting 35....what did you get?
