Survivor 16: Fans Vs. Favorites
Minicap episode 7 in which we yet again lose two players. (Spoiler!)

Meanwhile, back on the island....Tracy and Ami are two unhappy chicks, because the chickens aren't a-laying as expected. They suggest a barbecue, but Ozzy is against the idea, as he considers the chickens "renewable resources." Tracy suggests he's just waiting until there are fewer of them to split the meal, which may be the case, but Ozzy wins anyway (just as you knew he would). Keep that in mind for later.

The other tribe has its own problems, being pounced with rain that for some strange reason wasn't falling at Malakal. The women complain, and James points out the name of the game is "Survivor." Kathy in particular is having a rough morning, missing her "washer and dryer, food, daughter and husband," which is one way to go home to a divorce server, doncha know? She tries channeling Barbara Eden and does a "Jeannie" head bob to get back home, but it doesn't work. (Maybe she should have twitched her nose instead?)

Back in the sunshine, Erik is studying Ozzy as though this was The Apprentice, Ozzy was The Donald and he was Don Jr. Finally, someone acting like a true fan! Sure, Cirie mocks him, saying that when Erik says Ozzy's name, it's like stardust coming out of his mouth. But hey, I'm surprised there isn't more hero worship going on....of course, maybe if any of these guys were really heroes....

Reward challenge! Playing for a shower, spa treatment and snack - almost like a washer dryer, food, and family, right? The survivors are blindfolded, then a tribe mate leads them while they push huge Micronesian money to break tiles, then use the pieces to solve a puzzle. Despite Cirie's inability to tell right from left, her team wins. They decide to send Airai's Jason to Exile Island, then Ozzy tells Tracy to "take one for the team" and go as well. (Yes, that's even though she never won a reward challenge before....grrr, something other than stardust is coming out now!)

The reward gives Erik more quality Ozzy time, and the boy is smitten. Ozzy, on the other hand, is surrounded by the bared breasts of his female teamies...all except Cirie, who is acting like Eyewitness News and reporting it all for the camera's benefit.

Back at Airai, Kathy's decided she's had enough, demands hugs then throws in the towel. Surprisingly, Jeff seems to take it without much backlash, so maybe there was more going on than we saw (isn't there always?)

Immunity Challenge - Another puzzle, and Eliza's mad puzzle skills bring another win for Airai. The Malakal members scheme, with Cirie hoping to send a message to Ozzy by voting off Ozzy Jr., and Amanda hesitating to cross Ozzy. Ami plots to have the girls vote Ozzy, let Ozzy think he's controlling the vote and vote Tracy, then she, Erik and Tracy could sneak through and vote off Ozzy. It sounds awesome, but of course we can't expect an ice cream scooper betray his stardusted hero, so Tracy is gone. Good player, that one, and one who tried her best in a season where so many are falling short.
